365 DAYS #344 MYLO XYLOTO on Flickr.

Last night was one of the greatest nights in recent memory. Coldplay, one of my favourite bands of all time, with my good friend Dan, in London, at the O2. I’ll admit, I wasn’t feeling it earlier in the evening - I was almost tempted to offer my ticket to Dan’s girlfriend Sarah and just go home and feel sorry for myself. I’m glad I didn’t.

As we entered the arena we were all handed these multi-coloured wristbands (I greedily asked for two) and after working out they had LED’s inside of them and a battery pack, I was excited to see what Coldplay had in store.

At 9:15pm, the lights went out inside the arena at the conclusion of the theme from Back To The Future (which incidently followed Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”) and all of our wristbands lit up at once colours as the instrumental “Mylo Xyloto” played - think rainbows, christmas lights, fireworks, and every other beautiful lightsource you can think of.

The arms of 20,000 Coldplay fans were up in the air as the lights turned the O2 Arena into one of the most beautiful sites to see on earth.
