365 DAYS #363 Father, Son on Flickr.

My dad didn’t know I took this photo, using my iPhone was the most inconspicuous way of doing it. It’s not that he would have minded me taking a photo of him but I just wanted to capture a natural moment shared between us as we were in Sorrento today with mum, visiting family.

365 DAYS #360 3D Tradition on Flickr.

I’ve taken a few photos for this project using other cameras, in particular my iPhone but I like that.

Today is Boxing Day and my brother and I have always had a tradition of heading to the movies in the afternoon before indulging in Christmas leftovers for dinner.

It’s been great spending time with my brother, especially when we do things we always enjoy doing together, like eating popcorn, boysenberry choctops and watching films like Tintin.

365 DAYS #319 Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going To Be A Long Long Time) on Flickr.

“And I think it’s gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I’m not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I’m a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone”

Rocket Man, Elton John

365 DAYS #312 Connected on Flickr.

“Don’t tell me that we’re not connected
Don’t tell me that we’re not the same
Don’t say that we’ll be the only ones floating all alone
Not you, not me, not us”

Connected, Sparkadia

365 DAYS #287 Last Tube on Flickr.

When visiting friends on a Friday night, it get’s to the point at close to midnight when you have to decide to catch the last train or hitch a ride on a night bus.

Tonight I opted to catch the last Tube out of Tooting Bec.

365 DAYS #286 Coldplay on Flickr.

Last December, my dream came true and I saw Paul McCartney play the Hammersmith Apollo. This year it’s Coldplay and I couldn’t be happier with another big TICK.

365 DAYS #285 Red Light (District) on Flickr.

Switching from using my DSLR to my iPhone for a series of 7 photos continues as I stand here in South West London waiting for a bus 9:45 on a Wednesday night.

365 DAYS #284 The Kooks on Flickr.

Tonight I was lucky enough (again) to see one of my top bands at Brixton’s O2 Academy - one of the best gig venues in the world.

In what has been a dull week, The Kooks certainly brightened things up - Shine, shine, shine on!

365 DAYS #281 Autumn Almanac on Flickr.

“From the dew-soaked hedge creeps a crawly caterpillar,
When the dawn begins to crack.
It’s all part of my autumn almanac.
Breeze blows leaves over, mostly coloured yellow,
So I sweep them in my sack.
Yes, yes, yes, it’s my autumn almanac.”

Autumn Almanac, The Kinks

365 DAYS #280 Dear Steve on Flickr.

I’ve decided to take today’s photo with my Apple iPhone 4 in respect of the recent, untimely death of genius, visionary and world-changer, Steve Jobs.

I’ve been away from home, not having seen my family or my friends in 498 days but the iPhone has been my saviour. Through the ultimate functionality of this device, I have at my ‘touch’, the ability to communicate instantaneously with those that I love and dearly miss. Today I thank Steve Jobs for that simple reason. He will never know how much it means to me.

365 DAYS #168 I’m Looking Through You on Flickr.

“I’m looking through you
Where did you go?
I thought I knew you
What did I know?
You don’t look different
But you have changed
I’m looking through you
You’re not the same”

I’m Looking Through You, The Beatles
